A Farewell Mass for the Sisters of Mercy Spanish Point will take place in the Basketball Court of St. Josephs Secondary School, Spanish Point on Tuesday 28th July @7pm. (If the weather is bad mass will take place in Miltown Malbay Parish Hall).

Blessing for the Srs of Mercy as they leave Spanish Point after 91 years. (Read at Mass by Dr Billy in Miltown Malbay today. Mary Crawford, past pupil and former Principal spoke after the Gospel).

May you be wrapped in the assuring guidance of God’s care when you feel like you have lost your way.
May you be wrapped in the welcoming joy of God when you long for companionship and enjoyment in your new residence.
May you be wrapped in the providence of God when you find yourself longing for things you left behind and no longer have with you.
May you be wrapped in the spirit of God’s empowerment when you need courage and strength to adapt to your changed environment.
May you be wrapped in the compassion of God when you experience thoughts and feelings that bring a sense of loss and sadness.
May you be wrapped in the strength of God, who will uphold you when you experience your physical limitations.
May you be wrapped in the love of God, who knows the difficulties and challenges of this important transition.
May you be wrapped in the tender presence of God, who holds you close as you enter this passage of your life.
May you be wrapped in the quiet serenity of God when you are weary and sleepiness overtakes your desire to be more active.
